Christ Emptied

The best example
the perfecter of our faith
the way of Christ
going to the cross

Before his ministry
and in the Garden
Gethsemane
pouring out his divinity

His will an offering
poured out on the ground
taking up the cup
a servant to God’s plan

Picking up our cross
pouring out ourselves
that we would be filled
to continue his work

To spread the good news
to the whole world
following our master
sure of the grace of God
the fulfillment of his promise
