The new thing
our life together
fulfilling our offering
empowering our promise
Radical hospitality
breaking a hole
a hole in the wall
not that they may be lowered
lowered before Christ
but that we will feel
the barriers, the stumbling blocks
gone, lifted away
the open doors, the open walls
our hearts open to all
all welcome here
and going out
to where they are
those we do not yet knows
strangers, waiting
to become brothers, sisters
friends of long standing
all of them waiting
for us to come
to offer the new thing
the living Christ
Redeemer, Savior
alive now
just as at creation
when he walked as a man
all of together called
to share Christ
radically, with love
to the ends of the earth
and to those around us
neighbors we yet do not know
