The piles on the granite
rocks in the river
the heavy first snowfall
melting in the weather
Their sides eaten away
the fluff falling from their tops
the soufflé of early in the week
collapsing in on itself
Mushrooms of snow
rising from the stones
the rocks in the river
calling my eyes to look
