Even Moses, even David
The sadness of Christ’s indictment
the hope of all mankind
all who have gone before
fallen short before God
Even Moses, even David
the anointed of the Lord
even them drawing judgment
judgment of the Lord
Judgment not the final word
grace, the gate, the Son
here in the flesh before us
to bring us back to God
Telling us something important, urgent
I am the gate, the watchman
the Shepherd, owner
more than all the rest
The way back the Father
through the gate of the Christ
he alone, there is no other
leading us back to God
