Our Father, the Devil

The tension, the struggle
within the heart of the sheep
our father, the devil
the lord of the earth, the dirt
Our Father, our God
seeking to draw us to him
yet giving us the choice, the will
only if we come to him
Our choice, freely
to live or to die
to submit our lives to one Father
to answer one shepherd’s cry
