We want to deny
our captivity, our chains
we are slaves to our sin
the judgment against all men
yet we have a path
holding onto Christ’s teachings
leading us from the darkness, the pit
rising up to the light
walking, not just professing
going in our faith
walking as Abraham before us
going as we are led
