Blindness of the Pharisees

Those who studied the law
who should be able to read the signs
the blindness of the Pharisees
denying he was the Christ
Seeking to kill the Messiah
the one who was foretold
attempting to hold onto power
not true sheep of his flock
false teachers, robbers
leading the sheep astray
lost, their guilt remaining
because they claim to see
yet denying the signs before them
unable to believe
