The Story of His Disciples

The story of his disciples
when they walked with Him
the church at the beginning
how we should truly live
Not a message only
of individual giving
a model of conforming
our living close to Him
Words of power
an example for all believers
of sharing lives together
of one people, one body
An indictment of this age
of generation upon generation
as we separate ourselves
from our faith, our neighbors
Not about giving
but about a way of living
all from the same purse
none to be left out
Echoing now
in people in the street
speaking out against greed
while out neighbors are in need
