Overcome with emotion
Bowing my head, my life
after receiving the bread,
the wine
my fingers knitted in solemn
prayer,
his life intertwined with
mine
Lowering my face, to my
hands
the fragrance of his life
washing over me;
The offering of Christ
that set my spirit free
Overcome with emotion
In that moment, that instant
the bread, the wine,
an aroma of his sacrifice,
his life intertwined with
mine
Mixing with my tears
falling onto my folded hands
trembling in silent prayer;
For the offering of Christ
that set my spirit free.
