after receiving the bread,
the wine
fingers knitted in solemn prayer
his life intertwined with
mine;
Lowering my face, to my
hands
the fragrance
of his life,
washing over me
In that moment, that instant
the bread, the wine,
an aroma of his sacrifice
his life intertwined with
mine;
Mixing with my tears
falling onto my folded hands,
trembling in
silent prayer.
