our lives the journey

our bodies a vessel

a coming to God

emptied of self

a vessel, a voyage

a journey on the waters

following the breath

the wind of our God

Christ the captain

his hand on the rudder

steering the course

our shepherd always

we on the journey

the voyage, the pilgrimage

the sojourn here on earth

before heaven above
