The yellow canopy
over my yard, shining
the branches of the neighbors
treasures soon to fall
the yard will soon need raking
the leaves to gather in
but for now, this moment,
a treasure to see, above me
The yellow canopy
over my yard, shining
bright calling
to me, to look up
filtering light
azure blue sky
radiance, brilliant,
a wonder to my eye
