My brain understands
of this I am conscious
I know that it is bread
that it is grape juice
(we wouldn’t have wine,
we’re Methodists);
But while it may be bread
it is the most special on
earth
this is a metaphor of
what Christ did
how he died, his choice,
giving himself for us.
