naked, vulnerable

naked, vulnerable
exposed, open,
aware of our brokenness
chipped, scratched
by the snares of life
needing comfort
protection of the Master
breathing in these words
of comfort, of life
God is with us
who can be against us
why do we fear in this life
when Christ has conquered death
feeling alone, abandoned
but God is always present
just as He promised,
to the end of this age.
