All of this had a purpose
his illness, his death
all of this was part of
God’s plan
even though He knew all this
Christ loved them
Christ wept for their pain.
Lazarus was His friend
but Christ let him die
He did not heal him
so Christ could raise him
again
even though He knew all this
Christ wept for their pain.
Christ knows our sorrow
Christ knows our loss
He grieved for Lazarus
the friend that He lost
even though He knows God’s
plan
our life, our resurrection,
Christ weeps for our pain.
