We pray for that day
when war shall be no more
the swords made into
plowshares
when peace shall become our
common possession
all around the world
We pray that nations
would live together
that all peoples would be
free
the kingdom of God come near
Your will done upon the
earth
We pray we would never
forget
the sacrifice of our noble
dead
those who did not return
from war
those buried in our land
and in foreign lands far
away
We pray for those who were
injured
in their bodies, their
spirits,
sacrificing so much for us
may we aid them and never
forget
all the veterans who came
home.
