A holy wind, a fire,
a prayer for them
that flames from heaven
would fill the disciples
with God's Holy Spirit;
Living flames, falling,
flames of freedom descending
piercing their bodies
their spirits steeled
by the breath of the living God.
A holy wind, a fire,
a prayer for them
God imparting power,
authority
on the timid followers;
They were able, in an
instant,
by the flames of freedom
to speak, to lead, to
inspire,
to share the light of Christ,
His gift of grace
to the whole world.
