trying to describe, the texture
the intimate feeling, the
sensation,
the way it felt to my skin;
not claws exactly, simpler,
living barbs moving,
catching,
pulling against the
topography
the lines, the whorls, the
valleys,
the pattern of my fingertips
traveling across my fingers,
a land they had never explored
