pulled from the mystic’s
satchel
ancient, knowing hands
grasping the magic gently
so as not to break the spell
a document cherished
supple skin pulled flat
laid out on the table
backlit on the glass top
for its moment for photos
soft like kid-skin leather
is it animal or vegetable
a city-scape in miniature
the highway and roadways
drawn by a master planner
