Across the plane of the petals – v2

Trying to capture beauty
motion frozen in time
serenity in the stillness
across the plane of the petals,
all in the focus, clarity,
drinking it all in…

Perfection in the details,
subtle hints of shadow
all drawn into focus,
flatness of the blossom
diving in closely
for the perfect shot…

Seeing the world differently
in precision, close up, closer,
across the plane of the petals,
stopping even if for a moment,
beauty alive in the still air
just off the front porch…

Velvet, satin, a soft living fabric,
cut by the Creator, such precision,
across the plan of the petals…
The center rising, a ballet dancer,
ache of stopped motion, frozen,
poised like a spinning top…

Across the plane of the petals,
slowing my steps toward the door,
pausing from my motion,
seeing the world stop
taking time to notice
work of our Potter’s hand…
