You may not know that shame is standing beside you,
that someone you love was abused, is in pain,
that their heart has kept them silent, crying secretly -
They feel shame for the sins others committed…

Picture your wife, your daughter, your granddaughter
when you see these survivors standing courageously,
together at our nation’s Capitol, pleading with you
for justice, for courage, to stand with the victims…

Your loved ones may have been hurt
even if they are silent, in pain, crying,
in shame for the sins others committed,
stealing their innocence…
