Show them Jesus – v2

Not the work, our deeds,

the tasks we complete

that is not what matters.

Show them Jesus

this is our calling in life.

We fail in our mission,

the commission of Christ,

if we are so busy doing

that we forget to worship

to share the Good News.

We are to show them Jesus

the living risen Christ.

Our purpose, our mission,

is to shine His holy light.

consumed in busyness

in the maelstrom of life

forgetting the better part

stopping to worship

being, not doing

as we journey

as we follow

as we serve in the kingdom

as we following the Christ

being, not doing

worship, praises

being and doing – v2

we are to worship

to serve our neighbors

we are to be in the world

but not lose our way

loving and enjoying God

worshiping at His feet

even as we are serving God

not losing our focus

on the one thing essential

a real loving relationship

with our Lord and our Savior

we are called to witness

to be about doing

to shine the light richly

while we walk the earth

we are to live worship

being the hands and feet

serving God’s people

continuing Christ’s ministry

while we walk the earth

serving, sharing

but remembering Jesus

Worship the Christ

spend time with Him

sit at His feet

spend time, worship

worship the Christ

be about the work

but don’t become distracted

the worship more

that should be our focus

don’t lose sight

of the one thing important

serve, work,

but don’t forget to worship

Enjoy Him

She became distracted

busy with work

knowing it was the Messiah

the Lord in their midst

wanting it all to be special

to do her best

but in that striving

she lost herself

We are to enjoy Him

to spend time with Christ

not too busy working

to smell the joy in life

we are to be with Him

to worship the Christ

the work will be then

so enjoy Him, drink Him,

spend time with Christ

clearing her distractions

unfocused, reeling,

out of balance

clearing her distractions

calling her by name

Martha, Martha,

the words not of judgment

but of cutting through the worries

the burdens she had upon her

the distractions getting in the way

Christ calling to her

diffusing her anger

awakening Martha

with His voice
