Children's Message, "key to the kingdom, the crown of life", by Pastor Ruth Foss, Stetson Memorial United Methodist Church, November 16, 2014

Children’s message 11/16/2014
contemporaneous notes

mystery box:

set of keys and some jewelry

-         we need a key to get through a locked door
-         God gives us the key when we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior
-         We get a key to the Kingdom
-         we are no longer strangers or burglars
-         We find the key in the Word,
-         the key to living life abundantly
-         the truth about what God would have us do
-
-         As we accept Jesus;
-         we cannot lose the key ever
-         when we think we are lost,
-         when we think we have lost the key, turn to God.
-         God will show us where the key is
-         Someday, when we accomplish our purpose,
-         we get to go to God.
-         God will open to the door to the Kingdom;
-         we will receive our jewelry, the crown of life.
-
-         If you haven’t accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior,
-         you need to do that.
-
-         You too will get your jewelry, your crown,
-         You will be a son or daughter of Almighty God
