on the day of the
resurrection
heading home, dejected
not believing that He had
risen
talking about what might
have been
walking beside Jesus later
in the day
but not able to see Christ
a stranger before them
on the first blessed Easter
but drinking in the Gospel
the Good News in the Law of
Moses,
in each of the Prophets,
fulfilled in Him, all that
was promised
in the risen Savior, the
Messiah,
walking on the road with
them
in this stranger before them
explaining the Word;
Christ was revealed in the
breaking of bread
in the sharing of a meal
running back to tell them,
a story to tell -
Christ is alive!
