that the world would not intrude

may their cloister be a fortress
may God place a hedge
of protection, of peace
around the encampment
I pray that the world
would not intrude, usurp them,
this time set apart
may it truly be holy
conversation unencumbered
masks taken off
burdens let go of
placed at the cross
