It was at table,
in communion
in simple meals
with the disciples,
with the outcasts,
the sinners
those other rejected
that Christ
revealed himself
eating with us
His true nature,
in the quiet at table
sharing lives, meals
the bread, the cup
the all that was Christ
the man, the Son of God
revealed in subtle
and profound way
at table, in fellowship
eating with us
