Baptism of the Holy Spirit – v2

Would that each of us

would feel the power, that epiphany

that moment with flames

on that day of Pentecost

changing our lives in an instant

But with fire or with water,

the flame burns brightly

deep within, the Spirit,

for those who believe,

and put their feet to their faith

and act as they proclaim

serving their neighbor

sharing the good news of grace

to a world in need of grace

may we be like them

our hearts, our lives, aflame
