The wind gave an abject lesson this afternoon
of the parables, the means of grace,
all around us, if we but see
the movement of unseen hands
the invisible is made known, edified
in the commonplace, all around
We are blessed with tangible reminders
little things that connect us,
to the invisible, the unknowable
that which is beyond our imagination
because grace is all around
God’s marks in creation, in life,
waiting for us to notice
to reach out and touch it
to bring it into our being
and be changed by the invisible
