I dance the prayers of the people – v7

Within the circle
the family, the gathering
within the cleansing blood
standing together
before You, oh God

I dance the prayers of the people
our petitions to You
we begin with praises
for what You have already done

we lift to heaven
within the circle
our joys, our concerns
the days of our lives

I dance the prayers of the people
our trust is in You, oh God
our Creator, our Savior
for You alone are faithful
Your promises are true.

we gather to dance – v3

Freed by the Spirit
the blood of our Savior
we gather to dance
to sing songs of the people.

We worship together
within the circle
held within the four walls
the sanctuary alive.

All of us are united
when we remember the circle
all the saints of our faith
all who have walked here before.

We remain connected
within the widening circle
we welcome new life
new voices in the song.

We gather together
for prayer within the circle
all of us are united
within God’s arms of love.

I dance the prayers of the people – v6

I dance the prayers of the people
within the circle, the family
within the cleansing blood
of our Lord, Jesus.
We stand together
all part of the body
gathered within the circle
before You, oh God.

I dance the prayers of the people
raising our petitions to You;
We begin with praises
for what You have already done
We lift to heaven
within the circle, our hopes,
our joys, our concerns
the days of our lives.

I dance the prayers of the people
our trust in You, oh God
for You alone are faithful,
Your promises are true.
Within the circle, the body,
within the extended family
we come together, to pray,
we share our lives.

we come into the circle – v8

We join the thread,
the continuing cord, the bond,
touching eternity, the saints,
with all who have come before.
We enter singly, on our own,
on our journey of faith
yet we come into the circle
sensing God’s presence with us.
We walk where others have walked
on their faith journeys before us.

we enter the circle – v3

We come together, within,
the smoke hangs off us;
Christ’s cleansing blood
washes us clean.

We enter the circle
to find kinship, love;
we join in the dance
the songs of the people.

Together we lift up
our prayers to heaven
to our Creator, our God;
Your life is within us.

More alive within the circle
held by arms of grace;
We are washed by God’s love -
We enter the circle.

I dance the prayers of the people – v5

I dance the prayers of the people
within the circle, freedom,
within the cleansing blood
of our Lord, Jesus

Standing together
before You, oh God,
I dance the prayers of the people
our petitions to You

We begin with praises, with thanks,
for what You have already done
We lift to heaven
within the circle

Our joys, our concerns
the days of our lives, our struggles
I dance the prayers of the people
our trust in You, oh God

For You alone are faithful
Your promises are true,
I dance the prayers of Your people
to You, oh God.

I dance the prayers of the people – v4

I dance the prayers of the people
within the circle,
within the cleansing blood,
of our Lord, Jesus.

We stand together
all part of the body
gathered within to the circle
coming before You, oh God.

I dance the prayers of the people
our petitions to You;
we begin with praises, with joy,
for what You have already done.

We lift to heaven, our prayers,
within the circle, together,
our joys, our concerns,
the days of our lives.

I dance the prayers of the people
our trust in You, oh God,
for You alone are faithful
Your promises are true.

Within the circle, the body
within the extended family;
we come together,
we share our lives.

we enter the dance – v4

we enter the dance
we leap into the circle
we are safe within
the arms of God

each of us has a story
a part to play in the telling
we share our witness
within the circle

our prayers to heaven
to the Holy Spirit
lifted up to God
as we enter the dance

touching the Creator
connecting today, tomorrow,
with every moment of the past
into our future

the prayers continue
within the circle
the dance is unending
with the Creator’s arms.
