The earth in danger – v2

Floating, ticking time bombs,
broken down tankers, adrift,
environmental disasters
recklessly traveling, venturing
out on the high seas…
 
Russia is a terrorist state,
unthinking, unfeeling, reckless,
playing roulette with weather,
risking the whole planet, this earth,
for his lusts, for their greed…
 
The world must step up, change,
gathering for the challenge,
for this moment, the risks,
to seize Russia’s shadow fleet,
to bring them to port…

The earth in danger

Training their Hitler Youth

Training their Hitler Youth,
all in matching shirts;
Taking full advantage
of an innocent mistake,
the flawed humanity of others.
 
Stopping to look more closely,
sure of the evil they were committing,
the cult of these fascists,
Demanding their pound of flesh
from anyone they see as beneath them.

Training the Hitler Youth
All in matching outfits, shirts,
Taking full advantage
Of the innocent mistakes
The flawed humanity of others.
 
Stopping to look more closely
The cult of these fascists
Knowing the evil they were committing
Demanding their pound of flesh
From anyone they see as beneath them.

We have lost a sense of community
drowning in “Me”, “I”, “what about me”, truly,
honoring personal freedom
my needs only, me too,
honoring a falsehood, a lie,
Centering on self, self-help...
 
A dog eat dog, entitlement,
valuing entrenched interest, whiteness,
Darwinian politics, culture, echo chambers,
woke but not changing, why should they,
cutting the rights of others, their freedom,
Closing doors that were opened...
 
A people divided, not united
into separate tribes, sniping,
alive but dead as a nation, truly
not caring for our neighbors
others, the stranger, struggling
To thrive, to just survive...
 
Consciously taking away rights
denying access, privilege, justice,
Darwinian politics, culture
survival of the fittest, of might,
those holding the reins of power
All others in the dust...

for their acts of evil

the pendulum will swing

their injustice will not stand

before the gaze of God

judgment will come

righteous anger

God will balance the scales

in His righteousness

in His mercy
