We see them all

We see them all
a parade of humanity
our regulars, irregulars,
some new, some off the street.

Let's see, there is Etchy, and Sketchy,
Itchy, and Twitchy, and a Little Bitchy;
there are Felecias and Karens by the score.

Some are busy, no time for chatter,
others on their cell phones
lost in conversation, wtmi,
at least in my opinion.

A sea of humanity,
locals and renters,
Snowbirds in their season.
No shirt, no shoes, no problem.

Wash me in the blood of Christ – v2

“Oh Lord, oh Father God in heaven,

Wash me in the blood of Christ,
Wash me, drench me, save me,
Put a hedge of protection around me;
Cleanse me of my brokenness,
Make me clean, righteous, holy.
Let me feel Your presence, Lord,
Your Spirit as close as breath;
Heal me in the water,
Fill me with Your fire,
The power of Your Love

Redeem my broken life,
The broken paths I have taken;
Drench me in the waters;
Resurrect my earthly body;
Bring me home to You.”

An urgent fervent prayer

until the afternoon of June 21, something I never do.

“Help me God!”

A prayer repeating
in simplest terms
knowing I am broken
that I have made a mess of my life
that I need God’s assistance
in all of my decisions.

“Help me Father God,
help me risen Lord Jesus,
help me indwelling Holy Spirit
in spite of my past, myself.”

“Help me God, please,
I am lost, I am broken,
I need your help
to face my demons
to change my ways
to live out my holy purpose.”
