wailing in my ashes
In the pit of my struggle
in the chaos swirling
wailing in my ashes
not knowing what to do
crying out, “help me God.”
Not knowing what to do
what way to go, to prosper,
the mountains too high
around me, in my valley,
in the shadowlands, this struggle.
“Help me God, save me;
change me, protect me;
save me from my demons,
from those who would harm me
restore me to Your love.”
