They were today
our three treasures
happy and attentive
compliant, well, enough
enjoying the world
and their company
sisterly squabbles
tests of will
held in abeyances
for a few precious hours
happy was I as their father
while their spirits were cute
to match their Sunday dresses
and freshly combed hair
