A heavy husk
thick dark shell
no obstacle for
one with a will to live
a need to grow,
warm in the sun
dig into the rich sandy soil
drink the sunlight
warmth of midday
the subtle Windward breeze
soothing, salt in the air
a tropical garden
a good place to plant roots
and grow
