The heat wrapped me
hung heavy on my
like a wet wool coat
thrown on the hot old radiator
scorched a bit but not yet dry
thick, scratchy, applying gravity
a little bit more than normal
Barometric pressure
humidity, like a fog
air like a hot iron
blast of steam to crease the collar
of a stiff new white dress shirt
freshly bleached and starched
heavy, oppressive air
weighing me down
