The foreigner, the outsider
again the means
a lesson for the people,
the disciples with Him
those who could not see
forgetful, blind
The foreigner recognized, had sight
fell at God’s feet, Jesus’ feet
praising the living God
for his healing, his saving
made clean by the Son
and fully aware
while the covenant people
remained blind
