rising up, out of the water
reborn, dead to our old self,
newborn creation, a child of God
with Christ anointed, washed with water,
with oil, the hand of God
falling onto us, His Spirit, moving in us
changing our hearts, our direction
becoming a lamb, a servant,
a disciple of God, a follower of the one
sent from heaven to save the earth
to be our brother, the Christ, to live
risen, reborn, a new creation
living our lives, here, now,
as a child of God
