Spring of freshwater
fountain of living water
elemental to life
oasis in the barren world
a spring in the desert
We say, as did Christ, “I thirst.”
The living waters, this is what we need
the water, the bread of life
like Elijah in the desert
urgent waters, clear
everlasting fountain
the living waters of God
