Her little hands
so purposeful
opening each packet
stirring the sugar,
the creamer
(a suggestion of her sister).
A spill on the table;
no matter, enough.
Only a hint of tea
barely coloring the water,
no longer hot, tepid only.
Not much interest either,
a cup for the sink.
