In offering hospitality
an open hand, a sign of welcome
remembering too the needed empty spaces
welcoming in the strangers
into the family
Planting the seeds
our understandings, our witness
of God’s love and provision
watering with the word
God’s grace abounding
active in our lives
But mindful ever
of our role in the situation
serving our master; but
leaving the growth to God
