He was a leader
the brother of Christ
a stern message
for the faithful,
to the Jews in the Temple
Treating all the faithful
equal in God’s sight
so we are to act
consistent with our creed
acting in the name of Christ
To see our brothers, our sisters
with the eyes of God
opening our hearts, our arms
our hands to them all
Acting on our faith
on the love of Christ
helping all those in need
in his holy name.
