Each year in Advent,
on Christmas, at Epiphany
the revelation of Christ
the babe come to earth
This new life, this child
with new challenges
for us, rocking us to our core
Do we remain comfortable
in our own little world
unchanged by the epiphany
the coming of the Lord
Or do we look anew
into the eyes of the Christ-child
see with eyes of the Magi
on our knees
offering our gifts, our very lives
for our now-risen savior, our king
