The steel gray sky
plastered above the land
heavy glowering colors
foreboding at the twilight
dusk descending to night
Cold wind blowing,
out of the north
falling on us heavy
in the dying light
Standing exposed to the elements
against the building behind us
the sky painted before us
still beholden to winter
spring weeks away
