Empty without Him in Me

In dying, falling
into the waters
emptied of myself
my past left behind

Empty without him
God using my brokenness
my emptiness what he needs
that I may be filled with Christ

Holy in the transformation
rising with my savior
walking as he would lead me
going the way of the cross

Ninth Sunday after Pentecost
