Loving Their Maker

The commands of Christ
simple and direct
to love God and
to love our neighbors
all of them as ourselves
Ancient wisdom calls to us
connecting the two
in loving our neighbors
loving their maker too

What better way to live
modeling grace
love for others
showing them Christ
in how we walk on earth
Cherishing all of God’s children
our sisters and brothers
love for our father
in what we say and do
to our neighbors
as unto you
