those who have been beaten down
those needing assistance
to stand on the ground
No counsel for them
the money redlined
left out of the budget
in a cut so unkind
They need assistance
to have a hope for justice
someone to speak for them
in the gate of power
To stand with them
against power
to advocate for their interests
to do what is right
Needing funding
a measure of compassion
offering hope
to our people in need
