When we encounter God

It is in the quiet times
when we still ourselves
in the moments of reflection
when we are in prayer

When we encounter God
in the same way as our savior
going to the mountaintop
or to our inner room

Finding time in silence
to still ourselves from other things
away from the chaos
the things of this world

When we encounter God
in the silence, the stillness
renewing us, transformed
to do our Master’s work
