Renewed Strength

We cannot run on fumes
an ember away from the fire
needing to be connected
to abide in the vine

Only in connection
in time spent with God
only in his presence
are we restored, revised

Renewed strength for our mission
guided by his love
hearing his message
speaking just to us

Teaching us our purpose
the calling for our life
leading us to witness
to shine in the night

Only in God able
from him drawing strength
empowered to be his hands and feet
his voice in the world
