In the Quietness of God

In his embrace
in the stillness finding
time for our Master
in the quietness of God

Waiting as on the mountain
like Moses, like Jesus
waiting for the cloud to descend
for the voice of God to speak

In silence, in prayer
in a reverence to our Savior
sitting patiently
as we lift our petitions up

In the quietness of God
finding meaning, our calling
leading us to go
where God needs us to be

In his service, for the kingdom
in the silence our purpose
speaking to us, ready hearts
open to his calling
his holy calling to us
