the disciples fled and ran away

the disciples fled and ran away
in the garden, in the city
hiding for their lives
not with him at his dying

She was there
faithful to the end
finding him waiting
when he called her name

There at the cross
the darkness of Golgotha
there first with our Savior
at the dawning of salvation
